Namespace-Wise Rules & Documents
2.1 Direct .bd Domains (example.bd)
Rules: Allocated on first come, first served basis unless priority applies. Cannot register if name already taken/applied for.
Priority Rule:
If you own example.com.bd, you have priority for example.bd (Valid for 1 year from 02-01-2024).
Required Docs: Identity docs + Proof of Presence. If claiming priority: Proof of existing domain ownership.
2.2 .com.bd & .net.bd (Commercial)
Who: Commercial entities only.
Naming: Must match company name, acronym, trademark, or service name.
Required Docs:
- Trade License OR Certificate of Incorporation.
- Authorization letter (if applicant isn't owner).
- Trademark Note: If relying on a trademark, domain MUST be an exact match to the TM certificate.
2.3 .org.bd (Non-profit / NGO)
Who: Non-government or not-for-profit entities.
Required Docs: NGO Affairs Bureau certificate, Trust deed, or Association registration.
⚠ Cannot be bought for resale or profit.
2.4 .id.bd (Personal Identity)
Who: Natural persons only.
Naming: Legal name, nickname (with proof), or acronym.

2.6 .edu.bd & .ac.bd (Education)
Who: Recognized educational, training, or research entities.
Naming: Exact match or closely connected to institution name.

2.7 .gov.bd & .mil.bd (Restricted)
